OPEIU Local 153 is proud to endorse Joe Scianablo for Hempstead Town Supervisor. This is an important seat that affects 153 workers in Long Island. Representing workers at different Long Island universities that live and work in Hempstead, the largest township in the country, Local 153 is proud to back Joe. He is committed to delivering for working families and is fighting for no community to be left behind.

Joe is a former Marine combat veteran, retired law enforcement officer, and former domestic violence prosecutor. Through his public service, he understands the importance of organized labor and stands with union families. He wants to make Hempstead a more affordable place for Long Island union members and their families to live. He believes in a government that puts people first, fixes problems, and welcomes new ideas!
