OPEIU Local 153 is proud to endorse Samatha Kattan, Christian Celeste Tate, and Eon Huntley, three candidates for New York State Assembly who are committed to the labor movement. Each understand that the movement to build power for the working class connects to the labor movement. The fight to raise revenue, to expand universal childcare, to make life in New York City affordable is made possible by unions coming together in coalition to fight for union members across our city. The affordability crisis in New York City and the U.S. impacts many of our Local 153 members and we want to effectively partner with elected officials who are committed to working people’s demands.

Early voting began on October 24th and runs through November 1st with Election Day on November 3rd. It is priority that union members turn out in full force supporting pro-union, pro-worker candidates like Samantha, Christian, and Eon!
